Getting Started

Find your way around the Calso dashboard

A guided tour of your Calso home screen — the three sidebar groups, the four numbers across the top, Today's Schedule, Quick Actions, Needs Attention, Package Health, and the panels that stay hidden until you have data.

Updated August 27, 2026

The dashboard is the screen you land on every time you sign in. Read at a glance, it answers the three questions you have each morning: who am I seeing today, what needs a decision from me, and is anything broken.

Dashboard at the top of the sidebar always brings you back here. The page is a header, four numbers, then two columns — your schedule on the left, shortcuts and alerts on the right.

What the sidebar holds

On a computer the sidebar is the dark column pinned to the left of every screen, with its items in three groups.

The first group has no heading and holds the three places you'll open daily: Dashboard, Bookings, and Clients. A small amber number appears beside Bookings or Clients counting anything that arrived since you last opened them.

Configure is what you set up once and then mostly leave alone: Availability, Event Types, Groups, Packages, Products, Promo Codes, and Venues.

Insights covers Analytics, Integrations, Automations, Embed, and — at the very bottom — Settings. Settings has no group of its own; look for it last under Insights.

Below the groups sit Help center, your own name, a bell that opens your messages with an unread count, a light/dark toggle, and Sign out.

On a phone the sidebar becomes a bottom bar with five items: Home, Bookings, Clients, Events, and More. More opens a sheet holding everything else, including Settings and Sign out.

The header is the word Dashboard over a line of italic text, with a button on the right showing your booking page address. The italic line is a greeting that shifts with the time of day and with how many sessions you have booked — decoration, not a setting.

The button is the useful part. Clicking it copies your booking page address and briefly reads Copied!, and that click is also what ticks Share your booking link off in the Setup Guide. Find and share your booking links covers everywhere else that link appears.

The four numbers across the top

Today counts the sessions on today's date, with sessions scheduled underneath. It includes sessions that already finished this morning and requests still waiting on your approval; it leaves out anything cancelled.

This Week counts sessions this week, Monday to Sunday, with an up or down percentage against last week.

Calso Revenue (MTD) is money taken through Calso so far this month. Until you connect a payment account it shows a dash and a Connect Stripe link — see connect Stripe so you can take payments.

Revenue — All Sources adds package sales recorded outside Calso's own checkout, such as one that arrived from a connected store. Both revenue cards carry a vs last month comparison.

The left column: today and the week ahead

Today's Schedule is the wide panel below the numbers. Each row gives the start time and length, a colour bar, the client's name, and the event type underneath. A Pending badge marks a request still waiting on your decision, and a purple badge like "2/6 used" appears when the session draws down a client's package credits. A Join button appears when the session has a meeting link, and both the arrow beside it and View all → in the header take you to Bookings.

On an empty day it reads "No sessions scheduled today." and either names your next booking or nudges you to share your booking link.

Upcoming picks up where Today's Schedule stops. Labelled Next 7 days, it lists confirmed sessions and pending requests from tomorrow onwards, soonest first, six at a time. When the week is clear it says "Nothing scheduled for the next 7 days." Searching, filtering, and exporting all live in find, filter, and export your bookings.

The right column: shortcuts and alerts

Quick Actions is a block of four links: New Event Type, New Package, Add Client, and View Revenue, which opens Analytics.

Needs Attention sits underneath, with a count beside its heading and up to five items at a time, each carrying its own View → link. Four things land here:

When nothing is outstanding it reads "All good — nothing needs your attention right now." Checking this panel first is the fastest way to start a day.

The panels that wait until you have data

Two panels are simply absent until there is something to put in them, so a shorter page on a new workspace is normal.

Package Health appears once at least one client holds an active package bought from one of your package offerings. Each row names the offering, badges how many clients currently hold a live copy, and draws a bar showing credits used out of the total and how many remain — the quickest read on whether people are using what they bought. See build a session package clients can buy.

The Revenue chart, below Upcoming, appears once there is revenue to plot: one bar per recent week, the current week picked out in amber. It stays hidden while every week is still at zero.

Two more things surface only in the moment. The first time a client books you, a "Your first booking!" banner drops in with confetti and a Dismiss button. And if part of the page can't be totalled, a strip reads "Some metrics are temporarily unavailable." — refresh and it clears.

From here, clear the checklist behind that progress ring: work through the Setup Guide checklist. If a word on the dashboard is unfamiliar, the Calso glossary defines them all.

Frequently asked questions

Why don't I see a Package Health panel on my dashboard?

Package Health only appears once at least one client holds an active package bought from one of your package offerings. Until then the panel is not drawn at all, so a shorter right-hand column is normal on a new workspace. The Revenue chart behaves the same way — it appears once there is revenue to plot.

Why does the Calso Revenue (MTD) card show a dash instead of a number?

That card shows a dash and a Connect Stripe link until you have connected a Stripe account, because there are no Calso payments to total yet. Connect Stripe and the card starts filling in. The Revenue — All Sources card beside it can still show a figure, because it also counts package sales recorded outside Calso's own checkout.

Where is Settings in the Calso sidebar?

Settings is the last item in the Insights group at the bottom of the sidebar, just below Embed. It does not have a group of its own. On a phone, tap More in the bottom bar and Settings sits under the Account heading.

Does the dashboard count cancelled sessions?

No. The Today number and Today's Schedule both leave cancelled bookings out. They do include sessions that already finished earlier in the day, and requests still waiting on your approval, which carry a Pending badge.
